Apple Never Stops: Rumours About New iPhone XI

iPhone 8 and iPhone X are still brand-new products, but Apple does not seem to wait to long for releasing another iPhone. Apple launched the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X in September and November 2017 and rumours about the next iPhone has already come out in technology world.

Nobody knows the possible name of this new one, iPhone 9, iPhone 11, iPhoneXI, iPhone X Plus are among the guesses of tech lovers. It is highly possible that the current models will be on the top of smartphone market and September 2018 might be best time for launching the latest iPhone. It is not just us, many people think that way.

What can be different in 2018 model?

iPhone offers various screen sizes and the brand may add another alternative with even larger sizes. 6.0 or 6.5 inches are highly possible to exist in Apple Stores in 2018. The resolution is another feature to be developed. For now, Apple offers resolutions of 2436×1125 & 458 pixels per inch in iPhone X, 1920×1080 & 401ppi in iPhone 8 Plus and 1334×750 & 326ppi iPhone 8. So it is possible to find out iPhone XI (let’s call the next phone this way) with a resolution of  2688×1242 & 459ppi.

iPhone XI may also have a better screen with high quality glass. Cracks on screen or even broken screens are not few in number. This is why the brand may choose to eliminate this number.

iPhone prices in 2018

iPhone X starting from £999/$999 is the most expensive smartphone in the world (right now towards the end of 2017). We do not think there will be a higher price in 2018. Or there will be a budget-friendly new option to compete with the highly priced iPhones. Because only the older models are affordable for many people, Apple may create an new an affordable alternative. At least we hope that! Time will let us know what will happen in 2018.

What Happened In Apple During The Forth Quarter of 2017?

Apple has recently announced financial results for its fiscal 2017 fourth quarter ended September 30, 2017. The Company posted quarterly revenue of $52.6 billion, an increase of 12 percent from the year-ago quarter, and quarterly earnings per diluted share of $2.07, up 24 percent. International sales accounted for 62 percent of the quarter’s revenue.

Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO said, “With fantastic new products including iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus, Apple Watch Series 3, and Apple TV 4K joining our product lineup, we’re looking forward to a great holiday season, and with the launch of iPhone X getting underway right now, we couldn’t be more excited as we begin to deliver our vision for the future with this stunning device.”

“Apple’s year-over-year revenue growth rate accelerated for the fourth consecutive quarter and drove EPS growth of 24 percent in the September quarter,” said Luca Maestri, Apple’s CFO. “We also generated strong operating cash flow of $15.7 billion and returned $11 billion to investors through our capital return program.”Apple is providing the following guidance for its fiscal 2018 first quarter:

  • revenue between $84 billion and $87 billion
  • gross margin between 38 percent and 38.5 percent
  • operating expenses between $7.65 billion and $7.75 billion
  • other income/(expense) of $600 million
  • tax rate of 25.5 percent

What to expect in 2018?

Apple is in the middle of valuable beginning. It isn’t an exact science from this to calculate how many iPhones Apple could sell in the December quarter or in 2018 since there are at least the following variables:

  • The iPhone X was launched over a month later than the other iPhones
  • The current install base is higher
  • There are more first day countries launched for the iPhone 8 and X
  • The 8 and especially the X have higher prices

Still, stocks can be volatile, and the optimism surrounding the iPhone X and iPhone 8 could turn to disappointment if sales of the new offerings fail to live up to expectations. But Apple is by far the closest, currently commanding a market value about $175 billion above the world’s second largest public company, Google parent Alphabet.

What Is This Little Hole Next To The Rear Camera?

Some iPhone models have a small mysterious hole next to the rear camera lens. You may have never noticed before, but this hole serves a very important purpose. Upon realizing how unknown this part of some iPhone models is, we decided to talk about this in our blog post.

You might not have noticed that the mysterious hole that iPhones have next to the rear camera because of the fact that it is so small. It also is not remarkable. So, probably you have never wonder about this. A Hole Cooperating Siri and Google Now

If you think that microphones do not perform as well as they should, Apple can explain how to test microphones in this way:

“To test the primary microphone at the bottom of the iPhone, open Voice Memos and tap the recording icon, then talk to the microphone and touch the play icon to play the recording. If you can hear your voice clearly, your primary microphone is solid.

If your voice is weak when you are using the loudspeaker during a call, make sure your microphones are not blocked.

If the voices in the video recordings go out or if Siri does not hear you, make sure your microphone is not turned off by the rear camera. ”

If you have problems with the tests, you can take your phone to an authorized service as it is one of the basic features to be used in your iPhone.

iPhone Celebrates Its 10th Anniversary As A Revolutionary Product

The revolutionary product, iPhone entered in our life exactly 10 years ago on June 29, 2017. This was actually how Steve Jobs introduced iPhone to the world: “a revolutionary product that changes everything”. It was a combination of iPod with a wide screen with touch controls, a mobile phone and an Internet communications device. Steve told the audience that iPhone is not only smarter but also easier to use than its alternatives.

Here is the first ad of iPhone titled ‘Hello’, which tells nothing about the product, however pretty crowd-pulling and intriguing:

iPhone’s History for A Decade

2007

On January 9, 2007, Steve Jobs announced iPhone at the Macworld convention, receiving substantial media attention. Jobs announced that the first iPhone would be released later that year. On June 29, 2007, the first iPhone was released with a touchscreen and advanced computer-like capabilities that hadn’t been seen before.

2008

Along with GPS in 3G model, people were really starting to see its long-term potential. Another addition was the concurrent launch of the App Store.

2009

Then the Apple tradition of adding an ‘S’ to the end of the name for a minor iPhone upgrade started. The 2009 model of the iPhone had video recording capabilities for the first time, and the camera itself got an upgrade. Lastly, Voice Control  was added to the iPhone, too.

2010

The iPhone 4 was a big step as it was a new, sleeker, more modern look, and massively increased the pixel count while keeping the same 3.5-inch display size, as the first Retina display. It also had the first front-facing camera.

2011

With an upgrade to iPhone 4S, the camera reached up to 8 megapixels and perhaps the biggest improvement on the software side (arrival of iOS 5.0) was the introduction of Siri.

2012

The iPhone 5 added an extra row of icons with an extra-tall screen, the Lightning connector and a lighter, aluminum casing. On the iOS side, we met Apple Maps.

2013

Apple started another tradition that is to release two iPhones every September. The iPhone 5C was an option that was cheaper but still brand new for the first time. iOS 7 was launched at the same time, bringing true multitasking for apps and introducing the Control Centre for more convenient access to the iPhone’s settings.

The iPhone 5S came with a revamped design and Touch ID introduced to the iPhone line-up for the first time. Another first was the 64-bit A7 processor inside the phone, an architecture change that other manufacturers have since followed. iOS 7 had a visual overhaul as well, introducing the bright icons and translucent menus.

2014

The iPhone 6 extended the display size to 4.7 inches and added in more pixels to boot. Also, we met NFC for Apple Pay and other services, and a significant upgrade for the camera, giving better photo and video results than ever before.

The iPhone 6 Plus came with a display of 5.5 inches from corner to corner.

2015

Apple’s iPhone 6S didn’t offer surprising features and updates. Everything changed was inside the device, hence Apple’s decision to give this phone the tagline: ‘The Only Thing That’s Changed Is Everything’.

2016

The iPhone SE was the surprising release of the year. Also, noe we met the new iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus.
